FAQs

Find answers to the most common questions about counselling and working with me.

How often should I have counselling?
Therapy is often best weekly therefore I would recommend that you attend sessions on a weekly basis.
What kind of people go to counselling?
There is no one type of person that benefits from counselling and I welcome the opportunity to work with you regardless of your culture, religion, gender, or age.
How many sessions will I need?
This is up to you and is something we will review on a regular basis. I do recommend that we initially commit to a minimum of 6 sessions together.
Do you offer face to face counselling?
At present, I only offer online counselling sessions.
What are your fees?
My fees are £60 per 50-minute session.
Do you offer concessions?
Yes — please contact me for more information.
How do I make a payment?
Payment can be made via bank transfer and I ask that this is received a minimum of 24 hours before your scheduled session.
What happens in the first session?
In the first session we’ll discuss the terms of our sessions, current challenges and concerns and it is also an opportunity for you to help me understand why you have chosen to attend therapy.
I am interested, what do I do now?
If you feel ready to begin, you can click here to contact me or send an email directly to safyauk@yahoo.co.uk.

We can then arrange a 15–20 minute call so you can understand more about how I work and so that I can carry out a short assessment to ensure I am the right therapist for you.
